The Woman’s Center has many years of experience helping our patients cope with the changes in their lives due to menopause. Menopause is a natural part of aging but can be a turbulent time characterized by the changing menstrual cycles, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, emotional instability and problems sleeping. Every woman is unique and has a different response to menopause.
There are different therapies for menopausal symptoms and our healthcare professionals can help you choose which one is best for you. General measures to help you transition to the menopause are eating a well balanced diet, including 1500 mg Calcium and 800 IU of Vitamin D a day, exercising regularly and avoid smoking. Hormonal therapy may also be an option and should be discussed with your physician.
